The mastery of Haydn and Mozart- Haydn’s elegant 104^th symphony and Mozart’s playful overture, The Marriage of Figaro- is paired with two pieces for oboe and orchestra. Guest artist and New York Philharmonic Principal Oboist Liang Wang performs the Strauss Oboe Concerto and the world premiere of Redlands Symphony Principal Oboist and composer Francisco Castillo’s new work for oboe.
